I build REST APIs and HL7/FHIR integrations that connect hospital systems. Most recently, a year of Node.js and PostgreSQL work on a US radiology (RIS/PACS) platform.

I build the APIs between hospital systems.

At LMImaging (Livemedica) I shipped 15+ REST APIs and owned HL7/FHIR integration modules for a radiology platform serving US hospital clients. This is the path one radiology order takes, and the parts I built along the way.

    The order arrives

    The hospital's HIS/EMR sends a radiology order over HL7/FHIR. My order-processing APIs and integration services bring it into the RIS.

    It joins the worklist

    Worklist management APIs place the exam on the radiology worklist and keep it current.

    Images are stored

    The study is stored in PACS, and real-time data exchange keeps RIS and PACS in step.

    The report goes back

    Report generation APIs produce the radiology report, which flows back to the hospital's EMR.

~40% less manual reconciliation after connecting RIS, PACS and HIS/EMR over HL7/FHIR.

~30% better query efficiency from tuning PostgreSQL across 10+ production modules.

  • Scoped and prioritized requirements with cross-functional teams in Agile sprints.
  • Grew from individual feature tickets to owning full integration modules end to end, and became the go-to contact for HL7/FHIR interface issues.

  • Made high-volume outbound calls to US insurance payers, through IVR and live agents, to follow up on denied and unpaid claims.
  • Analyzed denial reasons from EOBs and payer portals (eligibility, prior authorization, coding, timely filing) and drove claims to resolution through corrections, reprocessing requests and appeals.
  • Logged call outcomes and next steps in the billing system against daily productivity and QA targets, under HIPAA.
